    yes, apparently they tip over too……. I suppose one stays out of the seas a bit longer.

    The sketch says it all. Well, maybe not all. The Titanic was a vessel dedicated to and enabled by the 1% whereas the Oasis of the Seas is, pardon the phrase, an ode to the upper middle class, an expression of available excess in capitalism’s era of nuclear entente. Visual cues trump the literary.

    How deep, or shallow, is our culture? Is a floating mall better than the landlubbers’ version? Does it have nautical Valley girls?
