Evan got his Lightning McQueen Powerwheel as a Christmas Gift when he was 2 years old. His dad decided to replace the plastic wheels with rubber tires and metal rims because he had worn through the plastic wheels after 3 years of use. Subsequently, smaller changes were made every few weeks – and now the car consists of: an aluminum back half chassis, 24 volts dual sealed gel batteries, sparco battery cut off switch, a 500 watt .66 horsepower electric motor, disk brake, and throttle modulated variable speed control with reverse.
