NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A nearly five-minute-long video featuring stunning time-lapse photography of Manhattan has been making its way around the Internet.

The video, called "The Manhattan Project," (not to be confused with the project that created the atomic bomb) was created by photographer Cameron Michael.

One of the cool things about this video is that the camera moves each time a new photograph is taken.

The Swedish tourism board has just discovered Twitter's greatest paradox: 140 characters is just long enough to say something stupid, but not nearly long enough to explain yourself when you do.

It all began innocently enough. In an effort to democratize national speech, Sweden's tourism board decided to hand over its twitter account, @sweden, to a different Swede every week.

Skydiving without a parachute? Sounds reasonable

24 May

Reblogged from Metro News:

Step aside, bridge-scaling adrenaline junkies and natural wonder of the world tightrope-walkers. The wingsuit-clad Gary Connery scoffs at your childish antics as he leaps from a helicopter to enjoy a leisurely 2,400-foot drift to Earth with only the tender embrace of 18,600 cardboard boxes to greet him.

Sorry, was that angle not scary enough for you?

Connectivity in offices, home, cafes, trains, parks, cars and planes -- I say bring it on. I have already shifted most of my life to the "cloud," and it is not much of a surprise that I am a shameless believer in connectivity. That is why I am excited about Aeromobile, which is making it easy to use your phones on planes, including transatlantic flights.

Pause for a moment and consider how hard it must be for the 1%. The hassling by Occupy Wall Street types, the constant harping from Warren Buffett about how you should really pay more taxes, the incessant chatter of all those people trying to make you feel guilty about your fabulous wealth. It all wreaks havoc on one's personal life. No wonder creepy finance guys…

NoMad,  Andrew Zobler's newest lifestyle hotel is the new addition to the neighbourhood of the same name - short for North of Madison Square Park, in New York . Zobler, who is also responsible for the Ace Hotel across the street, was initially drawn to the distinct architecture along that section of Broadway. Zobler set his sights on the preserved facade of the NoMad to create something entirely new.

Sao Paulo, Brazil -- Compared to Mexico, the web and mobile startup ecosystem in Brazil is hot -- probably too hot.

There seem to be almost as many foreign entrepreneurs and investors -- Americans, Germans, Spanish -- looking for opportunities to make money in Brazil as there are Brazilians building companies and investing.

Brazil's booming economy and its population's interest in new web and mobile services (hello, e-commerce) make it a market that's already exploding.
